We are seeking a corporate attorney with up to about 10 years of legal experience (as described below), including California State Bar license. Litigation and trial experience strongly preferred. Environmental law and permitting experience preferred.
We are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated person, detail oriented, strong documentation and writing skills, and high level of accuracy and efficiency in every aspect of work.
General responsibilities for this position include:
- provide analysis and counsel on legal, policy, environmental, and energy issues
- ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations
- develop and recommend company policy and position on legal issues
- employee benefit plans and labor law
- represent the company in any legal proceedings
- prepare legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations, etc.
- write, review, and edit reports, contracts, opinions, correspondence, etc.
Wind industry-specific responsibilities for this position include:
- Federal, state, and local wind project permitting
- contract admin: power contracts, land leases, equipment procurement, construction, etc.
- project financial closing documents; loan documents
Position located at our Altamont Pass offices at 15850P Jess Ranch Road, Tracy, California 95377 (between Tracy and Livermore, California) or Boise, Idaho.
